Propane Natural Gas Chillers for Eco-Friendly Cooling Solutions
01 March 2024
It’s time to get serious about what being ‘Green’ actually means with Propane Natural Gas Chillers (R290)
Everyone focusses on the GWP (which is almost 0 for Propane anyway). But hardly anyone talks about the other environmental implications of using alternative refrigerants which compete against it and are also low in GWP.
R454B / R1234 ZE /R1234YF etc
Great…But…Hold on…
There is a catch… they contain PFas, Polyfluoroalkyl substances. PFas pose environmental and health risks due to their persistence, bioaccumulation, and potential adverse effects. They contaminate water sources, accumulate in ecosystems, and have been linked to various health issues, including developmental and immune system disorders. Regulatory challenges exist due to their widespread use and persistence. Addressing PFas concerns requires coordinated efforts to minimise contamination and protect human health.
Let’s all make some educated decision’s before moving forward on a project. Lets fully understand ALL the arguments for and against. Sometimes tough choices have to be made and balances struck between the options available and rightly one solution does not fit all.
We have all options here at TriSolve. But Propane Natural Gas is a front runner against GWP and the dangerous toxic ‘Forever Chemicals’ harming our planet and all on it.
For your sustainable process cooling needs that don’t have to ‘cost the Earth’
